What we do

Golhood is a “startup” which aims to develop new ways of thinking about urban development and way of living , in order to improve the world around us and improve the quality of people’ life . For it is based on concepts from the contemporary moment . Currently the company is seeking partners for investment and product development . Within this line of work, the GOL ( “Game of Life” ) concept is developed as a basis for the development of model buildings and dwellings as well as city model and dwell model . If you want to know more about GOL, please contact us .

INNOVATION

As a base for pursuing its objectives, Golhood is based on research, innovation and development. With these premises it arisen how to offer alternatives to improve the current city, based on models designed for more than a century. After several years of work Golhood it is under development and marketing of its products.

SUSTAINABILITY

The need to solve the problems of climate change on our planet is obvious. Being a strategic part of its philosophy, Golhood is born with sustainable and eco-efficient soul, and therefore pursue passive products developed standards and generators, looking to go one step further than required by regulations.

PROFITABILITY

Golhood incorporates scalar concepts that allow greater efficiency, with reductions in time and cost, offering more profitable than existing models products. This return does not affect the final price of the product beingbelow market prices and can ensure rapid immersion in it.

Another way of living

GOL

Within the philosophy of the company, the GOL concept is developed as a model for the development of residential buildings. The GOL buildings are designed according to an analysis of habitats based on the game “Game of Life ” conceived in 1970 by the prestigious mathematician John Conway, and using in artificial intelligence and computer logic, sociology . Its great virtue is to show how complex patterns can be explained by simple rules. Under this model analyzes the problems of cities in five points are highlighted: HOUSING, SOCIAL AFFAIRS, SUSTAINABILITY , mobility and construction , in order to solve and improve the quality of life of people who live there . It requires new concepts that are introduced which, as appropriate, will have greater or lesser influence.

DENSITY FLUFFY

With the analysis of various metrics which define the housing situation in each country, the concept of foamed density arises. The city is concentration. The GOL buildings increased by 25 % stocking density without compromising the quality of life, as they swell with shared spaces that encourage relationships own city exchange. The intention is to offer housing alternatives other than the usual pattern and better prices than the current market.

LAYERS OF PRIVACY

Let aimed at an overpopulation of solitary networked . No longer works the classic structure of public – private . The public space has lost some of its role in relation to the risk society in which we are immersed. We need new spaces in psychological security conditions to relate to others. You must complete the virtual network with new physical networks managed. These new privacy layers change depending on the particular situation.

POSITIVE SUSTAINABILITY

The balance of the ecological footprint and global biocapacity is critical to the sustainability of habitat in the way of overpopulation. Start to talk in positive (creation, increase, generation, etc.) rather than negative ( reduction, elimination , etc. ) is the way to achieve harmony . We need to generate energy and resource closed circles that provide feedback to each other, once launched, walk towards the breakeven point for themselves. Modern concepts such as distributed cogeneration or urban gardens are important to achieve reverse this situation.

INTEGRATED MOBILITY

The use of own car generates 20% of CO2 emissions in the world, costs on average 220 euros per month, and is the least efficient energy vehicle. We use it 65% of people in trips less than 20 minutes. If with these data we still use the car, is a concept that is so embedded in our urbanite DNA that awareness is not enough. We must go one step further and positively discriminate the use of eco-efficient vehicles, with different concepts to traditional car, more suited to our lifestyle and current trends. GOL introduces the concept of individual public transport.

CULTURIZABLE MOUNTING

We constructed the same way last 100 years. The construction of a building with concrete or steel, uses 50% of the energy consumed by the building life. We build prefabricated in workshop systems such consumption and improve build times. It’s time to mount instead of constructing. But these systems can not globalize architecture, which must adapt to climatic, social and cultural conditions of the territory in which it is inserted. This new way of approaching the buildings can reduce costs and time, improving profitability and productivity, and becoming the GOL model scalable.

Game of life (El juego de la vida)

Game of life (El juego de la vida)
